May 25th The DFX Journal

Today, I continued to hunt the strips along the sidewalk next to the curb. I recovered 2 silver dimes a mercury(1941) and a roosevelt(1950-D) I also recieved permission to hunt in a private yard. I only got a mexican coin and an aluminum token. When I asked the owner about previous occupants he said that a 104 yr old woman lived there for many years. There were no children. My next project is to look at the census record to see where the large families lived here.

Curb Popping

There is an almost untouched area in every town that is very productive. Running paralell to most sidewalks in many neighborhoods are miles and miles of grass between the sidewalk and street. I recently found a gold ring there that I traded for a nearly new Tesoro Stingray II water detector worth $749.00 new. Just today, I located 2 mercury dimes and a large cent in a short strip. This can also open doors to search yards as well which could lead to more treasure being found. So, there you are a great opportunity for a great hunt! Enjoy.
