DFX JOURNAL June 15, 2007

Today I searched in Middleport, Ohio. It was near an old football field. I started by the old brick sidewalk where there was an old wrought iron fence which looked very out of place there since the field was probably constructed sometime in the 30's or 40's when solid concrete stadiums were the popular style of construction. The fence dates prior to the stadium and I started to scan along the edge of the brick walkway. I found several wheatback pennies. I was then determined to get a silver coin or two there. after slowing down to a crawl I finally found a 1959-D roosevelt dime. I also had to change batteries as well.
